POSITION SUMMARY
The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Perform duties such as feed, bathe, dress, groom, or move patients, or change linens. May transfer or transport patients. Includes nursing care attendants, nursing aides, and nursing attendants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Help clients with personal care needs (i.e., home duties, cooking, light cleaning, medication reminders, etc.)
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) 
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, as needed, to maintain a safe environment (i.e., changing bed linens, laundry, dishes, etc.) 
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of client’s care 
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to the client’s care 
  • Inform staffing coordinator of any changes in the assignment 
  • Answer call bells in a timely manner 
  • Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) 
  • 6 months of Caregiving experience preferred 
  • CNA certification required 
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, pre-employment physical
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Excellent customer relationship skills

The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
