The Canandaigua Chamber has partnered with SimcoHR to offer a convenient way for your business to stay in compliance during the pandemic. This in an online training program that will be offered once a week to employers/employees and meets all NYS and NYC requirements. All NYS employees must complete this training once every year.
Register by the Monday of any given week by calling 585.394.4400 or via the online registration link on the upper right corner of this page, now until 12/14/2020. Every participant will receive individual access via email the following Wednesday to complete the training at their own convenience.
These trainings provided through SimcoHR’s Learning Management System meet both New York State and New York City requirements. Please see below for the mechanics of how this process will work.
Each employee signed up to take the training will receive an invitation email from firstname.lastname@example.org to sign into the LMS system and create a username and password. Due to potential IT security settings in your email, please advise employees to check their spam/junk folders if they do not see the invitation.
Employer Requirements - There are a few other minimum standards that must be provided at time of the training: (i) the employer’s sexual harassment policy and complaint form – (If you do not currently have one in place, we will provid you an editable copy of the NYS Sexual Harassment Model Policy and Complaint Form. (ii) a copy of the information presented during the sexual harassment prevention training will also be provided.
Once the training is completed the trainee can download a copy of their Certificates of Completion and provide that to their HR department.If the employee forgets to download at completion, they can log back into their training portal click on Certifications and View Certificate.
