A reception open to the public is scheduled for Friday, April 8, from 6-8pm. Working in pastel, Allen is conscious of how materials, techniques, and pigments can be used to connect to a subject, to express it creatively, strike a mood, explore the texture of its light. The world around him provides Allen limitless inspiration and opportunity to connect to it creatively, and pastel provides Allen the perfect medium for this exploration.
