Howard VanBuren will be having a solo show of his work at The Cheshire Union from September 13th - October 10th *There is no opening reception for this show. Come see it in person during our regular operating hours! (Mon-Sat 10-5 and Sun 12-5)* About The Artist: Howard VanBuren is a local watercolor artist residing in Honeoye, NY. He has been sketching and painting since his early years schooled by his father Howard Van Buren Jr a professional graphic design artist for the General Electric Company in Syracuse, NY. A microbiologist by profession, now semi-retired, Howard spends much of his free time teaching sketching and painting online out of his private studio in Honeoye, NY and in public studios such as the Cheshire Union in Canandaigua, NY. He sells his artwork both locally and across the United States. Howard is an Associate Member of the National Watercolor Society, the American Watercolor Society, the New England Watercolor Society, and a Signature Member of the Central NY Watercolor Society. Locally Howard is a member of the Ontario County Arts Council and displays his work in various businesses throughout Ontario County as part of their rotating exhibits. Howard specializes in sketching and watercolor painting and has painted hundreds of house portraits and scenes of historic Canandaigua. Several of his paintings are available in print.
