The COVID-19 pandemic has seriously impacted the hospitality and tourism industry, especially in the tourism reliant region of the Finger Lakes. Restaurants, hotels, museums and parks all had to shut down temporarily and many are operating at reduced capacity during re-opening. Travel bans from hot-spot states continue to affect this reality. As re-opening in New York State continues, many questions remain in terms of how to keep employees and customers safe and how to operate with some sense of normalcy in a shifting and volatile environment. Join Valerie Knoblauch, President and CEO of Finger Lakes Visitors Connection, Cindy Kimble, President of the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance and Paula Knight, Instructor and Coordinator of the FLCC Hospitality and Tourism Management program for a dynamic panel discussion on best practices, lessons learned, reflections and what they see on the horizon for the FLX region.
