Places Of Worship
Canandaigua's earliest settlers immediately organized their religious societies and began building churches, some of which are still here on Main Street. The Canandaigua area has more than 20 churches and denominations. In addition to meeting the needs of their own congregations, Canandaigua's churches also have had a proud tradition of serving the community's needs, with programs such as food kitchens, outreach programs and a broad range of social services.
