The Rochester Folk Art Guild's Annual Holiday Festival of Crafts in Rochester.
The Rochester Folk Art Guild will soon present its 53rd Holiday Festival of Crafts in Rochester on November 28, 29, and 30 at the Harley School, 1981 Clover Street, between Elmwood and Monroe Avenues. Friday and Saturday the hours are 10 to 5, and Sunday from 11 to 5. Admission is $2, or free with an invitation available to print out at folkartguild.org. There is plenty of free parking.
The handcrafts range from functional pottery to natural fiber women’s clothing, wooden bowls, furniture, kitchenware, and hand woven treasures. There are also folk toys, note cards composed of dried flowers, imported Middle Eastern rugs, and books for all ages to choose from. All of the Guild handcrafts originate at their craft village in Middlesex, in the Finger Lakes. Workshops for all of the media have been built and maintained by Guild members, since 1967.
