30th Anniversary of the Canandaigua ATHENA Awards
Friday, November 21, 2014 at Finger Lakes Community College.
Five women have been nominated for the coveted ATHENA honor. The individuals nominated this year exemplify the qualities of leadership in the 21st Century; Learning, Authentic Self, Collaboration, Courageous Acts, Relationships, Celebration & Joy, Giving Back, and Fierce Advocacy.
The Five ATHENA Award Nominees are:

- Mary Green, Casework/Constituent Services/Field Representation, Office of Congressman Tom Reed
- Martha (Marty) Potter, President, Potter HVAC & Metal Fab, Inc.
- Pat Rini Rohrer, Owner, Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery
- Deborah Wilbur, Teacher, Canandaigua Schools
The Six ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award Nominees are:
- Jennie Erdle, Director of Student Life, Finger Lakes Community College
- Jenny Goodemote, Executive Director, Wood Library
- Nadia Harvieux, Conservation Outreach Educator, Muller Field Station and Adjunct Faculty Member, Conservation Department, Finger Lakes Community College Education Program Manager, Finger Lakes Institute at Hobart and William Smith Colleges
- Nicole Heroux, Co-Owner/Director of Business Development, Simply Crepes Café
- Jennifer Kelley, Architectural Designer, SEI Design Group
- Erin Reese, Program Director, Mercy Flight Central
The evening begins with cocktails at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:45 p.m. and presentation of the ATHENA and the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership awards. There will also be a silent auction to win some wonderful items. Reservations are available at the Chamber of Commerce at $55 per person. If you would like to be a Gold Sponsor and purchase an entire table of eight with advertising, the cost is $750. Reservations must be made through Elisha Snow at the Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce by calling (585) 394-4400, ext. 203. A portion of proceeds from the event go to women's scholarships.
Dinner: Seared Cranberry Cornbread Crusted Staler Chicken lightly glazed with Pancetta & Cognac Cream, Roasted Sweet Potato Coins and Steamed Lemon Broccolini. Served with Fresh Baked Rolls, Whipped Butter & Fall Garden Salad with House Vinaigrette.
